Forever 21 files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

Low-price fashion chain Forever 21, a one-time hot destination for teen shoppers that fell victim to its own rapid expansion and changing consumer tastes, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The privately held company based in Los Angeles said Sunday it will close up to 178 stores in the U.S. As of the bankruptcy filing, the company operated about 800 stores globally, including more than 500 stores in the U.S. The company said it would focus on maximizing the value of its U.S. stores and shutter certain international locations. Forever 21 plans to close most of its locations in Asia and Europe but will continue operating in Mexico and Latin America. Their popularity grew during the Great Recession, when shoppers sought fashion bargains. But over the last year or so, fast fashion has fallen out of style. Young customers are losing interest in throw-away clothes and are more interested in buying eco-friendly products. They're also gravitating toward rental and

Wisconsin fugitive lived in a homemade bunker for 3 years with TV and lights powered by a bicycle

After more than three years on the run, a wanted Wisconsin man is now behind bars. He avoided being captured by hiding out in a homemade bunker in Marathon County. Jeremiah Button faced numerous charges for sex crimes in Portage County and had been on the run after he didn’t show up at court in 2016. Investigators say Button went to a wooded area along the Ice Age Trail in Marathon County, where he set up a bunker. They say he made his own electricity using a bicycle as a generator, had a makeshift stove and went to the local landfill to get supplies. Last week, a hunter found the bunker and called police. Investigators say Button came out about 20 minutes after police arrived. They say he seemed to be relieved, because it was his first human contact in three years.

80-Year-Old Man Builds A ‘Dog Train’ To Take Rescued Homeless Dogs Out On Adventures

80-year-old Eugene Bostick lives on a 3-acre land in East Fort Worth, Texas, with his family. His home is located on a dead-end street with a horse barn and according to Bostick, ever since they lived there, people have dumped dogs in their land and have left strays there to starve or die. They took countless animals and several stray dogs under their care, and after his retirement, Bostick and his family spent their time looking after the animals in their land. Everyday, they feed the animals, take care of them and take them to vet trips. Bostick also built a dog train to bring his pet friends out on adventures, and if that’s not the best retirement job in the world, then I don’t what else is. Bostick is a lively and energetic man even in his 80s, but with so many dogs to take care of, he needed some sort of vehicle carry them on to go on trips. He came up with the idea of the train after seeing a guy driving a tractor with carts filled with rocks attached to the it. The

Japan Airlines kicks service up a notch and shows you where children will be seated before you book

Japan has always been a great country when it comes to technology and leading in many industries across the world. A small country that is largely based on traditions and great respect, one of their major airlines continues that tradition with a feature that allows passengers to view where children will be sitting on the plane.  Kids can sometimes be a handful and many people can become sensitive the screams and crying that every parent has to endure. This gives passengers the chance to strategically choose their seats before hand, and those who parents with children to group together. It’s a great feature that we think all airlines should adopt! Great going Japan!

Leaked render showing iPhone 12 for 2020 and it becomes notchless

A leaked render of the iPhone 12 is revealed from a twitter source that has been correct twice in the past. The leaked render shows the notch completely gone, it is similar to the iPad Pro but a miniature version. On top all the vital components such as the camera, flood illuminator, and sensors are housed in a slim bezel and the phone has an overall “bezel-less” look. It’s no doubt that the iPhone 12 is already in the works to be able to launch next year or the year after, usually Apple likes to launch a “XS” version after the initial new number launch.  Only time will tell, so for now, let’s let the Iphone 11 buyers enjoy their new upgrade.

What it’s like travelling with the 11” Apple iPad Pro

A few weeks ago I ditched my MacBook Pro and decided to do my trip around Southeast Asia with just an iPad Pro. It has been a blast aside from a few things that I’ll get into. I’ve upgraded to the latest iPad OS Beta, which has significantly improved the usefulness of the iPad, and so that begs the question — is it a good laptop replacement? The answer: YES. The CONS Right off the bat I’m going to go through what I don’t like about this setup. 1. Viewing angles: With the Apple Keyboard Case, there are only two viewing angles you can prop the iPad Pro on. These two angles work wonderful if you’re sitting on a chair at a desk. The problem starts when I want to relax on a bean bag chair or work on my a bed, you generally need to stare down at the ipad. Unfortunately either two angles allowed isn’t a good good enough and so I have to make some workarounds. (See picture) 2. No eject option for external media I have already corrupted one of my SD cards full of photos becaus

Travel Story: How the iPad Pro has changed the way I travel

I’ve been using my 2018 iPad Pro 11-inch during my travels around Southeast Asia for a while now and it has changed the way I travel entirely. Previous to my iPad, I was travelling around with my 13-inch MacBook Pro 2017 base model which would handle all my computing needs. However after a couple of months on the road backpacking my way around places to places, I decided one thing. The MacBook is too heavy to lug around in my bag and the computing power is just barley enough it edit the 4K content I shoot for my travel videos. It didn’t fit my needs. So when I was in Malaysia I decided to pick up the latest iPad to take as a test drive and sent the MacBook Pro home.

Apple releases IPad OS 13.1 Public Beta

Apple releases the iPad OS 13.1 Public Beta before the official release that is expected to release shortly after the launch event for the iPhone 11 on September 10th. IPad OS 13 allows your iPad to be more useful, somewhat mimicking the functions of a laptop. Now you’re able to connect your SD card or external hard drive to manage files via the Files app, and perform split screen to make that task easier if you’re working with more than one media. On top of that the safari browser is now the desktop version, which is way better than the mobile browser version on iPads now. This allows the iPad to be a real laptop replacement in most use cases. How to get the beta iPadOS To get this public release, you must be signed up with Apple as a beta tester. Just hop over to beta.apple.com  and sign up with your Apple ID and follow the steps there. I’ve been using the Beta versions up until now, and I can say without a doubt that this is going to make the iPad the preferred devic
