Germany installs a Machine to collect tax from Prostitutes

In Bonn, Germany, Hookers pay a prostitution tax to a Siemens ticket machine (stop laughing) in order to have sex for money. According to the new law, street prostitutes must pay the tax when working between 8:15 PM and 6:00 AM. Officials say that after one warning, a hooker found working without a ticket will be fined $145. The fee is 6 euros ($8.65 US) and prints out a receipt (just like a parking ticket) to permit "work."

Just over the first weekend, the machines collected $382 worth of taxes.
