Samsung Fold Features Roundup

Samsung's most anticipated phone the 'Fold' hits store shelves this year in April 2019 where many fans are excited about its innovative folding screen feature. Samsung has designed a flexible screen which allows the user to transform the 4.6" AMOLED display phone into a 7.3" tablet, all in a seamless transition without any interruption to what you are doing. Samsung dubbed this feature as "app continuity." All of the features do come at a hefty price of $2000USD as it does come with all the latest.

Let's take a look at the key things it offers.

1. Six cameras for the photography nerd

  • Three in the back
    • (12MP Telephoto, PDAF, OIS, 1.0um pixel size, FOV 45°, F2.4 Aperture)
    • (12MP Wide-angle, Super Speed Dual Pixel AF, OIS, 1.4um pixel size, FOV 77°, F1.5/F2.4 dual aperture)
    • (16MP Ultra Wide Camera, 1.0um pixel size, FOV 123°, F2.2 Aperture)
  • Two on the inside
    • (10MP Selfie, 1.22um pixel size, FOV 80°, F2.2 Aperture)
    • (8MP RGB Depth Camera, 1.12um pixel size, FOV 90°, F1.9 Aperture)
  • One on the front cover
    • (10MP Selfie, 1.22um pixel size, FOV 80°, F2.2 Aperture)

2. Double the battery (4380 mAh) + wireless charging

Both folding parts house a separate battery each making this phone potentially an all day phone. On top of that, Samsung didn't cut any corners and coupled it with the Fast Charging wired and wireless capability!

3. Incredibly fast processor and 12GB of RAM

This device is meant for multi-tasking without any lag, delays, or hiccups. It's built with the latest 7nm 64-bit Octa-Core Processor (wow!) and 12GB RAM (LPDD4x)

4. Fingerprint sensor located on the power button

On the right edge of the phone is where the power button is located and it double ups as a convenient finger print sensor to unlock your phone.

5. Foldable screen (of course)

The foldable screen features Samsung's latest AMOLED technologies making it the best screen out there on a mobile phone. There are two screens, one is located on the front cover when you are using it as a phone, and the secondary larger one folded on the inside of the clam shell.

The HP Spectre x360 13.3" Touchscreen/Pen model (13-AC010CA)

The HP Spectre x360 13.3" Touchscreen/Pen (13-AC010CA) The Spectre x360 is the latest 13.3" product from HP that has a hinge that allows the screen to rotate a full 360 degrees, making it a great contender for your 2-in-1 portability pursuit. The major difference here is that it doesn't have a detachable keyboard, and just maybe that in tablet mode  grabbing at the keyboard on the backside makes it a little awkward to hold. Not a deal breaker though. Unboxing Experience Right from the get-go you know you're dealing with something serious. HP knows that the unboxing experience is just as important as the experience with the laptop itself, and they didn't skimp out. One look at this box and you're jittering with excitement! What Comes Inside The Box You'll be glad to know that the HP Spectre x360 comes fully loaded . Inside the box you get: HP Quick USB-C charger Leather like carrying case (custom, with pen holder!) Overview The Pros: Great battery life (up to 10-12 hours per charge) 256 GB SSD Hard Drive (we love the silence of a solid state hard drive!) Thin and portable enough 15.6" 1080p HD display screen (1920 x 1080) Dedicated NIDIVIA 940MX 2GB video card Intel i5 - 7 series processor The low price point The Cons: Trackpad feels a little cheap, too "bouncy-clicky" Display screen seems just a little bit dim, even on full brightness setting Overall: 3.7/5 STARS A great budget laptop that packs a punch! Made for the number cruncher, the student who values the balance between portability and performance, or the everyday person who likes watching a lot of videos and playing the casual game. The Physical The Acer Aspire E15 generally feels great in the hand when it's folded and carried it around. Despite having about 2 times the thickness of a MacBook Air, Acer did a great job at keeping the weight down to be able to say...

Upgrading to iPhone X from iPhone 6S Plus

The iPhone 6s Plus has been my daily driver for the past few years and for good reason. It's been reliable, fast, and its screen size never had me yearning for more. Fast forward to today in 2019 and I've decided to upgrade myself to the iPhone X and it's been amazing so far. I love the sleek design of the white one, and the dual camera is great. However, I wouldn't say that the whole experience has been life changing, and here's why: Essentially Same User Interface It really is true what everyone says, the same old dated home screen you get on the previous generations is present in the X. This can be good for someone who wants the upgrade with the modern hardware, but the comfort of already knowing how to navigate the phone. For me personally, it makes the phone feel less exciting. The exciting bit of it is the home button is gone and you now swipe up to get back to the home screen. Only Slight Speed Differences The iPhone 6S Plus was the flagship model ...
