Ireland Travel Guide | Car Rental

Best way to explore Ireland is by car, hands down.
The pace of travel on your own accord and the convenience of keeping your luggage in the trunk is well worth it.

If you're from North America, it can be an intimidating task to drive on the opposite side of the road. But let me re-assure you though, after about a couple hours of being on the road you'll get the hang of it.

Quick Tips:
  1. Renting a manual transmission car is way cheaper than it is to rent an automatic car. Almost everyone in Ireland drives manual transmission cars, so having an automatic car is considered a luxury. It's reflected in the difference in price during rental.
  2. Check if your credit card company covers car rental insurance in Ireland (Aka, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) coverage).
Make sure to obtain a personalized letter from your company specifically stating that YOU have coverage in Ireland, because rental companies will require it before they will allow a waiver for your rental.
  3. If possible, try to pick up your rental away from the airport. It's generally cheaper because there is less demand versus at the airport. You can also plan it so that you drop off your rental at the airport terminal to catch your next flight. I've done this with Budget Car Rental in Dublin.
  4. Make sure to check the car for any scratches and damages before you leave the lot. This is important because you are liable for all damages if you don't notify your rental agent of prior damages.
  5. If given the option to return the car with or without fuel, ALWAYS choose returning the car with a full tank. It's cheaper for you to fuel up to full and return it, than it is to let them charge you about 90 Euros for returning it empty.

The HP Spectre x360 13.3" Touchscreen/Pen model (13-AC010CA)

The HP Spectre x360 13.3" Touchscreen/Pen (13-AC010CA) The Spectre x360 is the latest 13.3" product from HP that has a hinge that allows the screen to rotate a full 360 degrees, making it a great contender for your 2-in-1 portability pursuit. The major difference here is that it doesn't have a detachable keyboard, and just maybe that in tablet mode  grabbing at the keyboard on the backside makes it a little awkward to hold. Not a deal breaker though. Unboxing Experience Right from the get-go you know you're dealing with something serious. HP knows that the unboxing experience is just as important as the experience with the laptop itself, and they didn't skimp out. One look at this box and you're jittering with excitement! What Comes Inside The Box You'll be glad to know that the HP Spectre x360 comes fully loaded . Inside the box you get: HP Quick USB-C charger Leather like carrying case (custom, with pen holder!) HP Stylus ...

Overview The Pros: Great battery life (up to 10-12 hours per charge) 256 GB SSD Hard Drive (we love the silence of a solid state hard drive!) Thin and portable enough 15.6" 1080p HD display screen (1920 x 1080) Dedicated NIDIVIA 940MX 2GB video card Intel i5 - 7 series processor The low price point The Cons: Trackpad feels a little cheap, too "bouncy-clicky" Display screen seems just a little bit dim, even on full brightness setting Overall: 3.7/5 STARS A great budget laptop that packs a punch! Made for the number cruncher, the student who values the balance between portability and performance, or the everyday person who likes watching a lot of videos and playing the casual game. The Physical The Acer Aspire E15 generally feels great in the hand when it's folded and carried it around. Despite having about 2 times the thickness of a MacBook Air, Acer did a great job at keeping the weight down to be able to say...

Upgrading to iPhone X from iPhone 6S Plus

The iPhone 6s Plus has been my daily driver for the past few years and for good reason. It's been reliable, fast, and its screen size never had me yearning for more. Fast forward to today in 2019 and I've decided to upgrade myself to the iPhone X and it's been amazing so far. I love the sleek design of the white one, and the dual camera is great. However, I wouldn't say that the whole experience has been life changing, and here's why: Essentially Same User Interface It really is true what everyone says, the same old dated home screen you get on the previous generations is present in the X. This can be good for someone who wants the upgrade with the modern hardware, but the comfort of already knowing how to navigate the phone. For me personally, it makes the phone feel less exciting. The exciting bit of it is the home button is gone and you now swipe up to get back to the home screen. Only Slight Speed Differences The iPhone 6S Plus was the flagship model ...
