BlackBerry KeyOne - My Own Assistant At Last

The BlackBerry KeyOne is the latest QWERTY keyboard phone released from TCL. It's sleek, different, and well-made. Did you know that the battery life on this phone is amazing?

Features:

  • Full QWERTY keyboard, touch enabled as well
  • 52 programmable keyboard shortcuts (using long or short presses)
  • Touchscreen
  • Fingerprint scanner integrated with the space bar
  • Front and back camera (very good btw)
  • Dual-tone flash
  • Extremely long lasting battery
  • Headphone jack
  • USB type-C charging port, supports Rapid Charging

How does it fit with my life?

The KeyOne helps me maintain a professional look. It's a phone that stands out from the crowd of smartphones and is a great conversation starter when someone notices. Holding it, I always feel the need to type on the keyboard as if it's like a mini laptop.

In reality, I get a TON of work done in the mobile Excel, Word, and OneNote apps daily.
And the feeling of freedom I get when I know I can accomplish my work without lugging around a full-sized laptop to my favourite coffee shop? You really have to experience it yourself to fully appreciate how efficient it is.

Do you like useful technology like I do? This phone is 10 out of 10 in my books. I use it as my personal assistant to help keep me organized and on time.

The BlackBerry as my assistant?

When you get your blackberry, make sure to set up "Google Assistant".
By far the most efficient way to:
  • Set up calendar events/alarms
  • Add reminders/tasks
  • Call someone
  • Hands free directions with Google Maps in the car
  • Search google for things
  • Ask for weather updates

Setting it up requires you to say "Ok, Google." three times for your device to recognize your voice only, and then afterwards whenever you need assistance you'll talk to your phone with the same command.

For example my most frequent used command:
"OK, Google"
"Set up a calendar event for tomorrow at 8AM with the title 'go to work'"

Presto, change-o. Your assistant just saved you all the leg work and your calendar event is made!

Apps situation:

Thousands of Apps are available through the Google Play Store and they all run perfectly fine just as any android device would. Your social media favorites like: Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, etc. work smooth and are fully functional. They did it right this time.

Battery life:

Easily lasts a day and a half with a single charge during moderate to heavy usage. If you do light browsing and email/messaging, it lasts up to two days on a single charge! This is not an exaggeration, it really does.
This phone has unbelievable standby capabilities, for instance, I left my keyone by my bedside with 54% one night. I woke up the next morning with 53%! Unheard of in my books.
Keep in mind that 53% lasted me the entire work day with normal usage with 14% left when I arrived home!

Speed/Snappiness:

The 'snappiness' you get with your Samsung or iPhone you'll get with the KeyOne as well. Switching between apps and loading them is fast, which helps you keep your productive momentum going.

Acer Aspire E5-575G-55NW 15.6" laptop REVIEW

Overview The Pros: Great battery life (up to 10-12 hours per charge) 256 GB SSD Hard Drive (we love the silence of a solid state hard drive!) Thin and portable enough 15.6" 1080p HD display screen (1920 x 1080) Dedicated NIDIVIA 940MX 2GB video card Intel i5 - 7 series processor The low price point The Cons: Trackpad feels a little cheap, too "bouncy-clicky" Display screen seems just a little bit dim, even on full brightness setting Overall: 3.7/5 STARS A great budget laptop that packs a punch! Made for the number cruncher, the student who values the balance between portability and performance, or the everyday person who likes watching a lot of videos and playing the casual game. The Physical The Acer Aspire E15 generally feels great in the hand when it's folded and carried it around. Despite having about 2 times the thickness of a MacBook Air, Acer did a great job at keeping the weight down to be able to say it's a comforta
