Updated: Blackberry E-mail & BBM down in Canada & Latin America

Yes, Blackberry services are down again for certain parts of the world. These things do happen and RIM is fully aware of this situation. They are working around the clock to fix the problem and further updates about the fix coming soon.

Meanwhile, yesterday was a bad day for RIM when the company disclosed lower than expected earnings in Q2. The company’s stock plunged more than 20 per cent this morning.

Shares dropped as low as $22.14 on the Toronto Stock Exchange with at least 7.0 million shares changing hands on Friday.

Profits fell 58 per cent to $329 million US in the quarter.

But RIM also says with the popularity of the OS7 and QNX based Blackberries soon to be rolled out, earnings are expected to rebound.

Update:
Blackberry officially announces BBM services back to normal via Twitter.
Hooray! Back to typing madly away on your devices!

Thin and portable enough 15.6" 1080p HD display screen (1920 x 1080) Dedicated NIDIVIA 940MX 2GB video card Intel i5 - 7 series processor The low price point The Cons: Trackpad feels a little cheap, too "bouncy-clicky" Display screen seems just a little bit dim, even on full brightness setting Overall: 3.7/5 STARS A great budget laptop that packs a punch! Made for the number cruncher, the student who values the balance between portability and performance, or the everyday person who likes watching a lot of videos and playing the casual game. The Physical The Acer Aspire E15 generally feels great in the hand when it's folded and carried it around. Despite having about 2 times the thickness of a MacBook Air, Acer did a great job at keeping the weight down to be able to say it's a comforta
